Berlin, 10 February 2026 | The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP), an expert committee for hydrogen mobility, welcomes two new members: Poppe + Potthoff and Tyczka Hydrogen. As an independent, technology-neutral organisation, the CEP brings together players from all areas of hydrogen mobility in road, rail and factory transport. After a six-month trial period, both companies are now contributing their specific expertise to the CEP's working groups as full members.
Berlin, 01.12.2025 |The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) expert committee is ensuring the continuity of its successful work with a newly elected Board of Directors. With Florian Brandau, Ignacio Garcia-Lorenzana and Frank Fronzke, the board will in future combine even more expertise in infrastructure development and the ramp-up of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles and passenger cars. As an established registered association, the CEP is thus strengthening its commitment to hydrogen mobility in Germany and Europe - with a clear focus on the development and implementation of international standards and framework conditions.
On June 23, 2025 and July 10, 2025, two events of the transformation hub cH2ance will focus on hydrogen mobility. The cH2ance webinar on June 23, 2025, 14:30-16:00 is dedicated to the topic of “Fleet operation in the context of economic efficiency and regulation”.On July 10, 2025, cH2ance invites you to the 5th innovation round from 09:00 to 14:30 in Münster to experience the potential of hydrogen mobility live.
The Federal Ministry of Finance's current draft budget increases the chances of promoting alternative drive systems - especially hydrogen - to a greater extent. This is crucial in order to make technologies competitive and achieve climate targets.
The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) and the German Hydrogen Association (DWV) are intensifying their strategic cooperation to promote hydrogen mobility in Germany and Europe. This cooperation combines the technical expertise of the CEP with the political clout of the DWV to enable innovations in the field of hydrogen.
Based on the results of the completed PRHYDE project, a CEP working group is focusing on improving the reliability, stability and efficiency of refueling processes.

Berlin, 19.5.2025 | In the course of the energy transition, hydrogen is becoming increasingly important as an energy source. With the expansion of the hydrogen infrastructure, the need for specialized specialists is also increasing.
Berlin, 06.05.2025 | The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) has reached another important milestone: As a pioneer for hydrogen mobility, the CEP has continuously driven forward the standardization of acceptance protocols for hydrogen refuelling stations and has now successfully handed over the associated acceptance process for refuelling station tests outside Germany into the hands of independent testing institutions. This step marks significant progress for the scaling of the hydrogen filling station infrastructure in Europe.
Why standards are crucial - especially in hydrogen mobilityStandardization is not an end in itself - it is a driver of innovation. Clearly defined norms, procedures and test standards create safety, reduce costs and facilitate the market launch of new technologies.
Technical differentiation problems at filling stations At hydrogen filling stations, it is currently not possible to make a technical distinction between fuel cell and combustion vehicles. This leads to uncertainties under tax law, as both vehicle types are taxed differently. In some cases, filling station operators react by banning hydrogen burners from general terms and conditions, but this is not a sustainable solution.
Berlin, 16. April 2025 | The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) has reached another important milestone: as a pioneer for hydrogen mobility, the CEP has continuously driven forward the standardisation of acceptance protocols for hydrogen refuelling stations and has now successfully handed over the associated acceptance process also for refuelling station tests outside Germany to independent testing institutions. This step marks significant progress for the scaling of the hydrogen refuelling station infrastructure in Europe.
