Berlin, 18 May 2026 | The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) has taken another important step towards scaling up hydrogen mobility in Europe: TÜV Thüringen Schweiz has become the latest independent testing body to be authorised to carry out inspections of hydrogen refuelling stations in accordance with EN 17127 and ISO 19880-1.
The group of testing bodies trained by the CEP and authorised to carry out inspections in accordance with EN 17127 already includes Bureau Veritas, Cesame-Exadebit, DEKRA, FORCE Technology, LRQA, TÜV NORD, TÜV Rheinland and TÜV SÜD. With the addition of TÜV Thüringen Switzerland, this network of experienced testing bodies continues to grow, strengthening the foundation for a safe and reliable #hydrogenrefuellingstationinfrastructure in Europe.
“With TÜV Thüringen Schweiz, we are expanding our network to include another strong partner in the European market,” says Florian Brandau, CEO of Clean Energy Partnership. “This will enable us to create additional capacity for the safe and efficient inspection of hydrogen refuelling stations and make a direct contribution to accelerating the roll-out of infrastructure – and thus to achieving Europe’s climate targets.”
CEP will continue to serve as a trusted point of contact for any queries regarding the certification of hydrogen refuelling stations in accordance with EN 17127, particularly where there is uncertainty regarding the interpretation of the standard or in relation to specialised applications. Furthermore, CEP will continue to provide training to interested third parties on the application of EN 17127 in order to meet the industry’s growing demands.
